กต.ประกาศ ให้คนไทยหรือนักศึกษาไทย หลีกเลี่ยงเข้าพื้นที่ เหตุการณ์ประท้วงรุนแรง กรุงธากา ประเทศบังกลาเทศ
ผู้สื่อข่าวโตโจ้นิวส์รายงานว่า ตามที่มีรายงานข่าวว่า เกิดเหตุการณ์ประท้วงรุนแรงเกี่ยวเนื่องกับกลุ่มนักศึกษาหลายพันคน ในกรุงธากา ประเทศบังกลาเทศ ตั้งแต่ช่วงค่ำของวันที่ ๑๘ ก.ค. ๒๕๖๗ โดยกลุ่มผู้ประท้วงได้ออกมารวมตัวกัน มีการทำลายอาคารสถานที่ในที่สาธารณะ การปิดเส้นทางเดินรถและขนส่งมวลชน รวมถึงการปะทะระหว่างกลุ่มผู้ประท้วงกับเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจ ซึ่งส่งผลให้มีผู้เสียชีวิตแล้วจำนวนมาก และมีผู้บาดเจ็บกว่า ๑,๐๐๐ คน
ต่อมา รัฐบาลบังกลาเทศได้ประกาศระงับการให้บริการโทรศัพท์และอินเทอร์เน็ตรวมถึงยกระดับการรักษาความมั่นคงในกรุงธากา
ในการนี้ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศได้รับแจ้งจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงธากา ว่ายังไม่มีรายงานคนไทยหรือนักศึกษาไทยที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าว
อย่างไรก็ดี กระทรวงฯ ขอเตือนให้คนไทยในกรุงธากาโปรดหลีกเลี่ยงการเดินทางไปใกล้บริเวณที่มีเหตุการณ์ประท้วง และพิจารณางดการเดินทางออกนอกที่พำนักโดยไม่จำเป็นในช่วงนี้ ทั้งนี้ ขอให้คนไทยติดตามข่าว คำเตือน และคำสั่งต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องจากรัฐบาลท้องถิ่นอย่างใกล้ชิด

According to reports of violent protests involving large groups of students in Dhaka, Bangladesh since the evening of 18 July 2024, resulting in damage to buildings and public property, blocked roads and public transportation, as well as clashes between the protesters and police officers, which have resulted in a large number of deaths and more than 1,000 injuries.
The Bangladeshi Government has announced the suspension of telephone and internet services, as well as increased security measures in Dhaka.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been informed by the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka that thus far, there have been no reports of Thai nationals or Thai students being affected by the situation. The Ministry would also like to warn Thai nationals in Dhaka to avoid traveling near protest areas and may consider refraining from unnecessary travel outside of their residences during this time. Thai nationals are also encouraged to closely follow news, warnings and other related instructions from the local authorities.
